Labiplasty
A labiaplasty surgically reshapes the external appearance of the genitalia. In women of reproductive age, the size of the labia minora can vary considerably. A woman may opt for a labiaplasty for cosmetic reasons and/or to treat functional impairment.
Some women feel self-conscious about the outward appearance of their genitalia. They view their inner labia as abnormally long, which causes them emotional distress during intimate encounters. These women undergo a labiaplasty to reduce the size of the labia.
Other women with elongated labia may choose to undergo a labiaplasty to alleviate symptoms that can arise from increased labia size. These symptoms include discomfort during sexual intercourse and/or while wearing tight-fitting clothing as well as interference with exercise and normal daily activities.
Tightening Laser + Surgery
- The laser method is the noninvasive correction used in mild cases of vaginal relaxation and in urinary incontinence in female.
- Laser is used to renew the vaginal mucosa and induce collagen formation in order to reduce the vaginal canal diameter.
- It is a painless, bloodless procedure.
- The surgical procedure preferred in patients with significant laxity of the vagina after child birth which can lead to sexual dysfunction.
- Vaginoplasty is done by taking a pie shape wedge from the skin and the vaginal mucosa, bringing the separated muscles together, take off excess parts, and put good sutures that give more aesthetic appearance.
- This procedure could be done under local or general anesthesia.
